Where do I begin? This week automatically was amazing because we had specialized training and we got to see President and Sorella Waddoups again. Other than that this week was full of big steps.
Our investigator L. is all set and ready to be baptized! We have been working with him since the moment I got to Napoli and it’s so amazing that we have it to this point! He has made tremendous progress even in the last week. He’s reading everyday. He came to church yesterday. And he has real thought provoking questions every time we meet that demonstrates he is really thinking about this commitment throughout his days.
We are making big strides with 3 less actives we have been working with, one of whom we might be able to say is officially reactivated because he has been to sacrament meeting the last 3 weeks in a row but he can’t stay for any other meeting because of his family requiring him to be home early.
Unfortunately this week our work with the young married couple L. & G. has slowed down tremendously. They just got a 40 day old pit bull puppy that poops and pees everywhere so we haven’t been able to meet with them as much and they couldn’t come to church which was a bummer. It is a little discouraging seeing this happen when they had so much momentum going for them and now it seems like we have to gain all of that back, but it’s nothing the Holy Spirit can’t fix, we just need to get them back in the game!
We have another investigator who we met with last night and are doing all we can to be bold with her. Sometimes that’s the way we have to be. It’s a great time to be a missionary in Napoli! I love it here.
This week I have seen a transformation with my personal study time. I finally started having my journal out and open while I read the scriptures. I have seen so much more understanding and learning going on during this time now. Personal study time was already flying by faster than I wanted and now it’s over in what feels like a few minutes. I know it sounds weird, having your journal out during scripture study automatically making it better but that’s really what happened. I invite all of you to give it a try, it shows Heavenly Father you’re ready and expecting to receive guidance and answers during this time.
That’s all I have this week! We get transfer call this Saturday so I might be headed somewhere else, anything is possible! Hopefully I stay though, either way I won’t be leaving until next Thursday.
Go out and do one small thing for someone else this week! You’re all awesome!
