So do you all remember last week my ode to Mug Root Beer? Do you also remember how at the end I mentioned what it would be like if I ended up finding Dr. Pepper? Well I FOUND IT!!!
Honestly it was pretty disappointing though. It came from Great Britain. Leave it to England to ruin the greatest soda on earth. It just wasn’t the same. Pretty good gospel lesson learned though. If you want the fullness of joy you need to get it from the true source.
Otherwise it is just an imitation.
As far as the week goes, it was pretty interesting. Monday morning we had to take the 4 missionaries who completed their missions to the train station early in the morning. It was 3 Anziani and 1 Sorella. So the odd Anziano who wasn’t finishing had to be in a trio with my companion and I, and then we had to send the odd Sorella to Bari so she wouldn’t be alone here in Taranto. Monday night we got transfer calls and I will be staying here in Taranto!!! I was so relieved to here that. I love Taranto. The investigators we’re working with, the members, everyone. It’s an awesome place and I’m hoping to stay even longer. The Anziano who was with us for the time being ended up getting transferred to Terni so he had to pack and get ready to go because he had to leave Wednesday morning.
Then Wednesday for lunch, we went to Mariella and Silvio and it was awesome. We had an amazing lesson with Mariella on faith. It was one of the best lessons we have had together. She was so open and willing. We invited her to baptism and she accepted. I’m so excited for her. She’s incredible. All she needs is a spiritual witness. Some kind of feeling that she can recognize and grow off of. I know she’ll get it.
Thursday was transfer day and we were pretty unaffected until the evening when we picked up the missionaries new to the zone. The rest of the week was pretty as usual. We had an informative Skype conference on Friday morning. Then Sunday, Mariella came to church!
Also update on Maria Grazia. She’s been doing super well and continues to grow and study and come to church.
In regards to Thanksgiving this Thursday, I will simply say that when we are thankful for what we have we end up a lot more joyful and peaceful in our lives. I’m thankful for my savior, my family, and my mission.
Love you all!
