This was one of my favorite weeks in the mission. It was hectic. It was busy. It was full of miracles. I wouldn’t have it any other way.
To start off my Italian parents, Silvio and Mariella, from Taranto came to visit me which was awesome. I love them so much. They mean the world to me. She brought me a ton of food she had made. My favorite sauce, a Nutella crostada, homemade gelato in two flavors, a massive handmade chocolate egg with a surprise inside, giant homemade junior mints, and two different kinds of tiramisu. I am so spoiled. It was nice getting to be with them for pday. We ate Sorbillo together and it was delicious as always.
Monday evening I did a quick Scambio with Anziano Smith who is one of my favorites. He is an awesome missionary with incredible conviction and desire to work hard. I have known him since he came into the mission and I have really enjoyed the chance to work with him so much.
The rest of the week we were working pretty close with the missionaries at Caserta because the Sorelle were preparing Floriane for baptism and Anziano Daniels needed to keep traveling back and forth to cover his work. We made do.
Thursday evening to Friday I was blessed with the opportunity to do a Scambio with Anziano Brown. I love Anziano Brown. He is such a great example of humility. We have known each other for quite a long time in the mission and it was awesome to serve together before we get transfer calls tonight.
Finally, all week we were stressing over whether Floriane would be able to make it to church because she has to wait for the bus that picks her up from the middle of no where and brings her to Napoli.
Well Sunday morning rolls around and she makes it to church with Claudine and Lucia. So in the afternoon Floriane was baptized.
I want to testify to you all that our Father in Heaven is a God of miracles. Miracles happen today. Never could I have imagined to be where I am today doing what I am doing. Nor could I have imagined that I would have met such a wonderful woman in Noemi over a year ago and all the miracles that went into her being baptized and now to have had the opportunity to come back to Napoli and prepare her daughter, Floriane, and her granddaughter, Claudine, for their baptisms as well has been one of the greatest blessings of my life. I know that God knows us. I know that He knows you and He is aware of you and what you need. I know that we are a part of His great plan.
I love you all and I am praying for you,
