Week #91 – I Love This Zone
Happy Tuesday Everyone!
Yesterday we had zone conference here in Napoli and so today is our P-Day. I have already realized that Tuesday P-Days are awesome. So much stuff is open that is always closed on Mondays. That’s Italy for you.
Sunday Claudine was confirmed! It was wonderful. The best word I could use to describe her is giddy. She was just so happy to receive the gift of the Holy Ghost and even from such a young age she understands the great blessings that await her. I am so grateful for the effect that this family has had on my life. I have learned so much from them.
Patience truly does work miracles. Faith moves people to action. Repentance frees us of our burdens. Baptism fills us with joy. The Holy Ghost comforts us. The gospel of Christ is true. I love teaching people of this great restored blessing.
Anziano Perfili and I recommitted ourselves to putting as much effort as we can into finding and not waste any time doing activities that would be less productive. I experienced such a difference in how I felt throughout the week as we kept this purpose in mind and opened our mouths with everyone. We had some particular experiences talking to people. I’m just grateful for the knowledge I have and the privilege it is to bring that to others.
In preparation for zone conference my companion, Anziano Perfili, and I were trying to do everything to have the zone prepared to receive as much inspiration from the experience as possible. I love this zone.
There are incredible missionaries that are working hard, self evaluating and improving, and doing everything they can to grow this work in Italy.
Sunday we were supposed to have interviews with President but there was an unexpected happenstance that required us to reorganize some things, but throughout the whole experience I was humbled by the incredible tranquility and peaceful nature of President Pickerd.
Unfortunately, as time moves along no one lets you forget that the end is ahead, even President and Sorella Pickerd. If I could just send out a disclaimer that if anyone is planning on emailing me right before the end, please don’t. Also hold off on the countdowns. Much appreciated.
I can not properly say enough how much I love my mission. I love being a missionary. I love serving others and proclaiming the gospel of repentance and baptism to the Italian people. I love the opportunity to develop Christlike attributes, recognize weaknesses in myself, and then work each day to improve. I love being 100% all in and consecrated to the Lord. I love planning, setting goals, then reaching those goals, and feeling so productive and useful everyday. I love it all and it has changed me more than I think is able to come through in an email.
I love each of you. If you need specific prayers please let me know.
